Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Regional Director in collaboration with the Medical Director is responsible for the overall management and development of ambulatory services in a respective region. Through management personnel, directs, supervises and coordinates the overall operation of clinical and administrative departments. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of the organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrates behavior consistent with the core values and support ACP's strategic plan. Works with Practice Administrators to ensure company’s strategic goals are met by facilitating implementation of the Advanced Care Model and AdvantageCare’s strategic initiatives at each facility.


* In collaboration with the Vice President of Operations, formulates an effective strategic plan by analyzing the environment and gaining stakeholder consensus on the organization's direction in order to maximize the organization's success
* Works with Practice Administrator to oversee strategy and performance of respective practice sites based upon performance targets as established by Executive Management
* Responsible for the ongoing operations of regional practice sites, equipment, operations, and personnel
* Ensures regional alignment in reporting processes, key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational processes
* Monitors KPIs across individual sites; identifies areas of risk and opportunity and drives initiatives to improve
* Identifies tools and opportunities to leverage best practices across multiple sites

* Oversees the preparation of budgets by anticipating expected revenues and expenses to achieve organizational objectives
* Develops and presents financial analyses by employing a variety of techniques (modeling, forecasting, benchmarking, cost/benefit analysis, etc.) to enhance stakeholder understanding and improve decision making
* Establishes a system of controls by designing and enforcing checks and balances to minimize the risk of financial loss and ensure organizational integrity
* Oversees performance management by identifying and clarifying core competencies in order to provide direction, enhance workforce capabilities, and identify training needs
* Develops a facilities planning program by periodically evaluating facility capabilities in order to meet the ongoing operational needs of the organization
* Reviews Patient Satisfaction ratings with Practice Administrators to ensure all respective facilities are at a minimum among the top 95% in the country and act upon any satisfaction values below acceptable levels
* Ensures patient volume by physician at all respective facilities is appropriate based upon staffing levels, addressing issues and make necessary changes in coordination with Regional Medical Director(s) as needed
* Works with Practice Administrators to ensure patient volumes are accommodated at all respective facilities with a wait time of no more than one week
* Works with Practice Administrators to ensure appropriate staffing of all facilities for clinical and administrative staff to accommodate Advance Care Model (ACM), maintain Table of Organization, and attainment of Patient Satisfaction scores working with Regional Medical Director(s) as needed
* Work with Practice Administrators to be apprised of any issues concerning day to day operations at all facilities


Experience & Qualifications



* Bachelor degree in health or business administration, required
* Minimum of 5-7 years management experience in an ambulatory setting, required
* Experience managing staff greater than 100 employees, required

* Master Degree in health or business administration, preferred
* CMPE or FACMPE in the American College of Medical Practice Executives preferred
* Minimum 7-10 years management experience in an ambulatory setting, preferred
